Leeds United’s Pontus Jansson and Chris Wood are in the Championship Team of the Season, along with Huddersfield Town’s Tommy Smith and Aaron Mooy – with the Terriers manager David Wagner chosen as the manager.

In League One Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp and John Fleck were chosen, with Bradford City’s James Meredith joing them.

And in League Two, runaway leaders Doncaster Rovers were recognised for an excellent campaign when manager Darren Ferguson was selected to preside over a line-up comprising two of his own players in the shape of striker John Marquis and veteran midfielder James Coppinger.

Each of the 72 EFL clubs nominated a local media representative, who in turn selected a team of 11 players and a manager, not including the team that they cover.

The votes were then counted, and the select XIs were formed in a 4-3-3 formation.
