Following Rovers drawing with Leeds on Friday, second-half goals earned wins for Sheffield United, Huddersfield Town, Bradford City, Rotherham United and York City.
The Blades beat Portsmouth in the Championship, while Huddersfield Town are top of League One after an impressive fightback against Yeovil.
