YORKSHIRE have three players inside the top 15 going into the final day of the IFX International Championship, a PGA EuroPro Tour event, at Burhill Golf Club.

Leading the way for the White Rose is Chris Halley (Malton & Norton), who sits fifth, four shots off the lead on six under after two consecutive rounds of 69.

Halley, who still awaits his first EuroPro Tour title after losing at the sixth play-off hole in the Championship at Prince’s last year, added five birdies to the six he accumulated on day one.

Hornsea’s Steve Uzzell and David Woodhead, of Hessle, lie joint 13th.

Uzzell (71 69) had four birdies plus an eagle in his round on Thursday, the latter unfortunately sandwiched by the only bogeys of his round.

Woodhead (73 67) had an immaculate bogey-free round, his five birdies carded at the second, ninth, 11th, 15th and 17th holes.

Leader Greg Payne (Chobham) added a second round of 70 to his opening eight-under-par 64.
