HUDDERSFIELD'S Chris Hanson carded a one-over-par final round in the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek, in South Africa.

His scores of 70 71 75 73 gave him a 289 one-over-par aggregate in his first tournament since winning his European Tour card 10 days ago and earned him € 7,950.

The Woodsome Hall player had two bogeys and a double bogey six, and just one birdie, in a troublesome outward nine.

But he had his best inward score of the week - two-under 35 - thanks to seven pars and two birdies, the latter coming at the 11th and 13th.

He accumulated 13 birdies over the 72 holes, eight bogeys and three double bogeys.

"Think my caddy @StevenTooby summed up the week walking off the last," Hanson said on Twitter. "Some fantastic stuff, but a load of c**p too."
