Cleckheaton’s Clarke lifts Yorkshire junior crown at Middlesbrough GC
Clarke holed out for a two from a bunker on the 16th hole in her morning round and also eagled the par-4 10th in the afternoon.
Her superb play in the 36-hole gross competition for girls with handicaps of scratch to 18 will see her handicap cut to one.

In the second round on the same hole, Olivia Jackson (Pannal) – Kirsty’s playing partner – holed her third shot for a birdie out of the bunker.
Both Jess Smee and Charlotte Heath nearly aced the par-3 16th, both skimming the hole with their respective tee shots.
The 18-hole stableford competition for girls with handicaps between 19 and 36 saw Ganton’s Lucy Walker prevail with 38 points.
She finished just one point ahead of Huddersfield’s Jess Hoskins.
