Club – Flamborough Head: Markwell wins in familiar surroundings

BRETT MARKWELL has only recently returned to Flamborough Head GC, but quickly made himself at home again by winning the Sheffield Trophy, the club’s only 36-hole trophy.

In the morning, Gary Matthews set the pace with a net 65, which put him one in front of Ray Daykin.

Craig Goddard, Mike Russell and Michael Smith were all two shots further back while eventual winner Markwell was on 70 along with Kenny Miller and John Sumner.
