Ripon City’s Lady President Kay Fawell marks 102nd birthday at club
RIPON City GC have celebrated the 102nd birthday of their Lady President, Kay Fawell, who is a former Yorkshire and England cricketer as well as an accomplished golfer.
Kay only gave up playing competitive golf when she reached 95 - because she did not want her handicap to slide into the bronze division category.
She is a much-valued member of Ripon City and over the years has taken new members under her wing while also being active herself in all the club activities.
Lady members at Ripon City joined her at the club to celebrate her birthday.
