Yorkshire golf: Alison Tracey wins prestigious Wrightson Trophy at Huddersfield GC
She received the prestigious Pat Wrightson Trophy at the ladies' presentation evening at Fixby, which was attended by more than 80 members along with visiting lady captains from Meltham, Bradley Park, Marsden, Woodsome Hall, Crosland Heath, Dewsbury and Longley Park.
Ladies' secretary Joyce Ironside invited lady captain Jean Gean to present the trophies, 29 in all, with octogenarian Ann Crowther taking home the Senior Ladies Veterans and nine-hole trophies.

Hide AdSue Ramsbottom, Val Gothard and Kathryn O'Hara also took two trophies apiece, but were bested by Pat Wrightson and Cathy Burger, who each stepped forward on three occasions.
Lady vice captain Liz Roberts did an excellent job of officiating proceedings and lady captain Jean Gee introduced all her visitors before the dinner, and it was clear the visiting captains had a wide range of talent for among them were a dentist, violinist cyclist, pilot and an OBE.
Guest speaker was club member Sue Maddocks, who has prepared bouquets for Princess Anne on two occasions as well as flowers for Westminster Abbey at the Order of the Garter Service in 2014, which was attended by the Queen.
She has also competed four times in the Chelsea Flower Show, winning one silver and three silver gilt medals.

Hessle GC's Christmas better ball competition needed a countback to decide the winners after two pairs returned a score of 64.
Andy Challis and Ray Dawson took first place from Andy Marshall and Rich Roantree, with Tony Pickering and Jeff Taylor placing third on 66.
Division One of the club's weekend Christmas individual Stableford also ended in a tie, Darren Sharpe placing first ahead of Peter Thorne after both men totalled 37pts. Steve Fairbank was third, two points further adrift.

Hide AdTony Johnson was an emphatic winner of Division 2 with 41pts, five clear of second-placed Ian Millington and third-placed Darren Abbey.
Thursday's Christmas individual Stableford saw Peter Cutland best Paul Rutterford on countback (both 40pts ), Darren Moore a point back in third.
Division 2 winner was David Lambert (41pts), two ahead of Shaun Kavanagh who in turn was two clear of Chris Shepherd.
