LINDRICK GC’S 8 to 15 team clinched the South Yorkshire League title at Worksop in style, lifting the trophy for the third consecutive year with an overall margin of 26 points from second-placed Rotherham.
Team captain Tim Reaney said “It’s been a great performance from the players throughout the year.
“We had a great start in May and just continued to improve. There was a lot of extra pressure going for three in a row, but the guys all just got on with the job and made sure that there are no spaces in the Lindrick trophy cabinet”.
Rotherham gained some compensation by beating Lindrick in their semi-final before retaining the knockout trophy with a victory over Worksop in the final.
