YORKSHIRE had four players finish in the top 25 of the Welsh Open Ladies Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Conwy GC as they prepared for this week's county championship at Huddersfield GC.
Rotherham GC's Olivia Winning, who won the Scottish women’s open stroke play championship eight days ago, shared 12th place (80 80 76), helped by an eagle two in her final round.
Yorkshire champion Megan Lockett, who will defend her title on her home course, was 14th (80 77 80) while Woodsome Hall GC's new Curtis Cup player Rochelle Morris rose to 21st (86 78 75) with progressively lower scores.
Selby GC's Megan Garland was 25th (83 80 77), her club-mate Ellie Goodall 31st (82 81 79) and another Woodsome player, Melissa Wood, 40th (82 81 83).
Royal County Down Ladies' Olivia Mehaffey, who placed second to Winning at Troon, retained her title at Conwy by five shots with a 220 aggregate (79 68 73).
As well as her eagle, Winning tallied three birdies in her closing round.
Morris started with a double bogey on Sunday, and also had one at the 16th, but three birdies in her final seven holes saw her improve by 11 shots on her opening round.
Garland looked to be heading for a much higher finish, but unfortunately completed her round with three successive double bogeys.
However, she can look back with satisfaction on her preceding run of three birdies in four holes from the 14th.
