Yorkshire women’s team preparing for their County Week challenge

Yorkshire’s nine-woman team for the Northern Counties Match Week are counting down the days to the competition getting underway on Monday, June 22 with an encounter against Durham.

The team selected comprises Olivia Hamilton and Megan Clarke (both Cleckheaton), Fulford’s Charlotte Austwick, Megan Lockett (Huddersfield), Holly Morgan, of Lees Hall, Hannah Holden (Lightcliffe), Rotherham’s Olivia Winning (Rotherham GC), Megan Garland (Selby), and Rochelle Morris, of Woodsome Hall.

Non-travelling reserves for the event, at Sandiway GC from June 22-26, are Lucy Eaton (Skipton) and Morris’s clubmate at Woodsome Hall, Melissa Wood.

As well as facing Durham, captain Jean Waring will prepare her team to take on Cumbria, Cheshire, Lancashire and Northumberland in successive days.
