Orange has been the public face and voice of racing in the county for almost three decades and he will hang up his microphone after the two-day Lincoln Handicap meeting, although he will not officially leave his role with Go Racing In Yorkshire until the following weekend.

“Graham first joined Go Racing In Yorkshire 32 years ago and for much of that time has been the face of racing in the county, whether it be organising the post-race presentations, interviewing personalities, providing tips in the restaurants and boxes or as the skilful presenter of the popular Punters Panels,” said Go Racing In Yorkshire chairman John Sexton.

“Throughout all that time, he has been a top-class presenter and an enthusiastic and dependable supporter of Go Racing In Yorkshire and he will be very sorely missed.

“I know I speak for everyone in Yorkshire racing when I say thank you to Graham for a brilliant job well done. He goes with all our good wishes for the future.

“We hope we shall see him many times on the Yorkshire racecourses simply enjoying the sport, but I know he is also looking forward to putting his skills as a fully qualified cricket coach and umpire to good use in the Yorkshire leagues.”
