Prop Jake Armstrong was added to the injury list in the second half and Matt Beesley and Fylde centre Scott Rawlings were jointly judged the centre-piece of a brawl and were sent off two minutes from time.

The Greens were desperately unlucky to reach half-time 14-3 in arrears, Tom Davidson kicking a penalty.

Fylde scored two converted tries in the first half and, although the Greens fought tenaciously to the end, but conceded three more tries.
