Greens are hit by spate of blows

Lock Richard Rhodes departed with a serious shoulder dislocation and flanker Dan Solomi and full-back Taylor Prell also had to withdraw and were joined on the sidelines by stand-off James Guy before the break.

Prop Jake Armstrong was added to the injury list in the second half and Matt Beesley and Fylde centre Scott Rawlings were jointly judged the centre-piece of a brawl and were sent off two minutes from time.

The Greens were desperately unlucky to reach half-time 14-3 in arrears, Tom Davidson kicking a penalty.

Fylde scored two converted tries in the first half and, although the Greens fought tenaciously to the end, but conceded three more tries.
