Halford says no to Blades loan return

Sheffield United: Former Blades midfielder Greg Halford has ruled out a return to Bramall Lane.

Halford, who spent last season on loan at Sheffield United, is currently out of favour at Premier League side Wolves.

Blades manager Kevin Blackwell enquired about his availability with a view to a loan deal during the current transfer window but Halford is vowing to stick it out at Molineux.

“I definitely won’t be moving during the January transfer window,” he said.

“I’m 100 per cent sure about that because I’ve done enough moving about to last me a lifetime.

“It has been non-stop for me in the last three years – apart from last season when I was at Sheffield United – so I am here for the long haul at Wolves and I doubt whether any club would be able to tempt me into reconsidering that stance.”
