Manager Sean O’Driscoll said: “We have got the option to play James with Billy Sharp, someone who enjoys playing with him. James is not a six footer but he can jump and is a header of the ball.”

Former Doncaster defender Billy Mordue has died, aged 73.

Mordue joined Rovers as a youth team player in 1953 and was a first-team regular until 1961. He moved to Scarborough and then Gainsborough Trinity, in 1965. He was also player-manager at Retford Town.

Last six games: Coventry WLDLWL, Doncaster LWDWDL.

Last time: Coventry 1 Doncaster 0; December 26, 2009; Championship.
