Hull took the lead when Robin Kitching picked up a loose ball from a scrum and embarked on a run up the left flank to touch down, James Cameron missing the difficult conversion.

Barlow restored Fylde's lead from another short-range penalty but, two minutes before half-time, full-back Mike Waywell escaped a challenge down the left and off-loaded to Adam Lewis, who cut inside to give them an eight-point lead at the break.

Rob Kitching made another foray down the left and sent an excellent long ball inside to Maea David before Darren Wigg recycled the tackle and dived over to bring the deficit back to one after Cameron's conversion.

Ten minutes later, Wigg scored his second from a close catch and drive which Cameron converted. With 10 minutes remaining, Cameron scored the vital penalty following a reckless tackle.

THE Bees still look doomed for relegation after this 11-try festival at Wagon Lane.

Although the Coventry side dominated the opening quarter with the wind at their backs, they were only able to take a 10-point lead thanks to a converted try from Greg Summers and a penalty from Dan Richards.

The Bees finally began to find their feet and tries from Steve Brimacombe and Tom Cokell edged them in front.

Right on half-time, back-row Nigel Mukurati brought the scores level as he powered over near the posts.

The Bees opened the second half with back-row Guy Ford crossing on 43 minutes.

They then left the door open to allow Toby Handley and Summers to score.

The game was finely balanced as the final quarter started, but scores from Tylon Mafi and Mark Gemmell, both converted by player-coach Stuart Dixon, pushed the Bees into a lead they would not relinquish.

Broadstreet's Summers wrapped up his hat-trick as regulation time expired with an arcing run through the defence.

Home nerves were quelled deep in stoppage time as Tane Jerecivich won a chase beyond the try line and was awarded a try even though he did not appear to have touched down.
