Leeds Force edged out by Wolves

Worcester Wolves got their BBL Championship title challenge back on track with a hard-fought 76-66 home victory against Leeds Force on Friday.

After a 7-1 start to the season, Paul James' side had lost four of their previous five games.

But they responded with a disciplined display to outlast a Leeds side that has now lost two in a row, having previously racked up three straight wins for the first time in the BBL.

Force led during the opening stages before Wolves made a 13-0 burst to take the lead late in the fourth quarter, and while their advantage was never comfortable, it was enough to secure a vital win.

The hosts were led by 20 points from Ashton Khan and another 18 from Perris Blackwell.

D'Andre Bullard had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Force, who slip to a 5-8 record, while Wolves can now improve to 9-4, when they travel to Bristol Flyers on Saturday.
