Legends of racing to line up yet again

SOME of the most popular and successful jockeys from both codes of racing will don the silks one more time in the inaugural Fudge & Smudge Leger Legends Classified Stakes on Wednesday.

Run over the straight mile, this special contest is in aid of the Northern Racing College's residential course facility at nearby Rossington Hall and former trainer Jack Berry's aspiration for a northern-based Injured Jockeys' Fund facility.

In a star-studded line-up, former champion jockeys and St. Leger-winning riders on the Flat, Pat Eddery and Kevin Darley will be joined by the likes of George Duffield, Ernie Johnson, John Reid, Alex Nicholls (nee Greaves), Gay Kelleway, and Dale Gibson.
