Lennon likely to miss Liverpool meeting

Tottenham: Former Leeds United winger Aaron Lennon is not expected to be fit for Sunday's game against Liverpool when Harry Redknapp's men face their rivals for Champions League qualification.

Lennon picked up a groin injury in the Barclays Premier League win over West Ham and Redknapp initially expected the England international to be out for a “couple of weeks” but it is understood Spurs are planning to be without him for their trip to Anfield.

Spurs manager Redknapp could field Croatia pair Niko Kranjcar and Luka Modric on opposite flanks, as he did in the FA Cup victory against Peterborough on Saturday.
