Sheffield United got back to winning ways in the Championship with a comfortable 2-0 win over Bristol City at Bramall Lane.

Barnsley let a first-half lead slip to crash 3-1 at home to Plymouth while Doncaster Rovers shocked Nottingham Forest when Billy Sharp's goal was the lone strike of the afternoon.

Leeds United needed a stoppage time equaliser at Leyton Orient to draw 1-1 while Huddersfield Town also had to come from behind againt Swindon Town in League One.

In League Two, Rotherham United beat 10-man Lincoln City 2-1 while managerless Bradford City were held 0-0 at home by Grimsby.

In the Blue Square Premier, York City lost 1-0 at Ebbsfleet United.

Barnsley 1 Plymouth Argyle 3 FT

The Reds went in at the half-time break leading 1-0 thanks to a goal from Hugo Colace in the 45th minute. Plymouth took the lead with goals from Jamie Mackie and Carl Fletcher. Rory Fallon added a third for Argyle on 83 minutes.

Doncaster Rovers 1 Nottingham Forest 0 FT

Billy Sharp grabbed Rovers' winner after 31 minutes.

Sheffield United 2 Bristol City 0 FT

Henri Camara put the Blades ahead after half-time before Dariius Henderson doubled their advantage.

Peter Clarke gave Town the lead after eight minutes, but two minutes later the prolific Charlie Austin equalised. And things got worse for Town when Dan Ward put the visitors ahead on 27 minutes. Antony Kay equalised on 50 minutes.

Tamika Mkandawire put Orient ahead in the 83rd minute before a stoppage time goal from Charlie Daniels rescued a point for Whites.

Wayne Jacobs saw his first game in charge of the Bantams end in a goalless draw.

Adam Le Fondre gave the Millers the lead from the penalty spot on 14 minutes, with City's Moses Swaibu being red carded. Gary Roberts doubled their lead before Steven Lennon netted for Lincoln.
