It was a good weekend for Yorkshire's Championship clubs as there were victories for Hull City, Leeds United, Sheffield United, Doncaster Rovers and Barnsley.

Throw in wins for Sheffield Wednesday, in League One, and Rotherham United in League Two and it was a good weekend for the region.

The only dark clouds were over Huddersfield Town, who lost at Oldham in League One, and 10-man Bradford City who slipped to League Two defeat at Wycombe.

Goals from Richard Garcia and Nick Barmby gave Hull a vital three points to climb out of the Championship relegation zone.

Ipswich Town 1 Barnsley 3

Goran Lovre (21), a Marton Fulop own goal and Garry O'Connor (50) gave the Tykes their second away win of the week. Tommy Smith (80) replied for Ipswich.

Leeds United 3 Bristol City 1

Luciano Becchio (66, 70, 83) scored a hat-trick to earn Leeds victory. Jon Stead (68) netted Town's consolation.

Millwall 0 Sheffield United 1

New signing Andy Reid (29) found the net for Blades, and a much-needed three points.

Portsmouth 2 Doncaster Rovers 3

David Healy grabbed a late winner after Doncaster tossed away a two-goal lead. Rovers went in front through James Hayter (15) and James Coppinger (26) before Ward (66) and David Nugent (74) equalised.

League One

Oldham Athletic 1 Huddersfield Town 0

Oumare Tounkara (24) shocked the Terriers with first-half winner.

Sheffield Wednesday 2 Rochdale 0

Giles Coke (62) broke the deadlock at Hillsborough before Clinton Morrison (82) doubled their advantage.

Rotherham United 2 Oxford United 1

Adam Le Fondre (25, 37) returned to first team with two goals, before Simon Clist (45) replied for the visitors.
