The Millers make the short journey over the Pennines today to face a Bury side managed by Alan Knill, who was in charge of the Millers during the club’s first spell in administration four years ago.

Former Bury defender Ryan Cresswell returns to Gigg Lane for the first time joining the Millers this summer.

Cresswell spent two years with Bury after leaving Sheffield United and said: “I can’t wait to go back. They offered me a new deal but I chose to leave because Rotherham is a bit closer for me and everything at the club fits perfectly.”

Fifth-placed Bury can leapfrog the Millers by winning today and manager Ronnie Moore is expecting a tough game.
