Montgomery turns down Sheffield United offer

SHEFFIELD United midfielder Nick Montgomery has rejected a new two-year deal and is likely to leave the club in the summer.

Manager Kevin Blackwell today expressed disappointment at the decision but urged the 28-year-old to stay.

Montgomery, the longest serving player at Bramall Lane, is wanted by a string of clubs including Burnley, Bolton Wanderers, and Middlesbrough.
