The Yorkshire Post understands there have been no positive tests for Covid among either squad of players, but due to a peripheral impact of Covid both clubs decided to err on the side of caution in the best interests of their respective teams.

It is understood there are no concerns for the health of current players.

Sharks are next due in action on Friday night when they welcome Newcastle Eagles to Ponds Forge.

The BBL say they will reschedule the Cheshire-Sheffield game as soon as possible.
