Redruth 34 Otley 25: Penberthy sinks Otley but Twomey earns bonus

Four tries from each side produced a cracking game but the accurate boot of fly-half Aaron Penberthy ensured that the home side collected five points in this relegation battle.

Otley’s James Kleinhorst, appearing on the wing, soon finished off a fine move, Jervis Manupenu striking the upright with the conversion before adding a penalty.

Penberthy struck a penalty and converted a try from Mark Bright but Otley replied with a try from winger Curtis Wilson which Manupenu converted.

From the re-start, full-back Christian Georgiou took the ball and raced to the line but just before the break scrum-half Stephen Depledge was yellow-carded, Penberthy landing the penalty.

A converted try from centre Sam Parsons levelled the score and Otley’s Howard Parr was sin-binned. Bright scored a second try and Otley conceded a penalty try, both converted by Penberthy.

James Twomey out-paced the defence to gain the bonus point but Otley could make no further inroads.
