Her foal, Aredis Mystique, was also champion foal at the Scottish Horse Show and Bucks County.

The Richmonds have also played a key part in a highly successful year for Knaresborough’s Pullan, who owns and produces the pure-bred Cleveland Bay mare Knaresborough Moondust – champion and winner of the Cuddy title at the Great Yorkshire Show.

That success made Cleveland Bay history, being only the second pure-bred Cleveland Bay to make the final at the Horse Of The Year Show in 40 years.

The Knaresborough star also owns Aredis Powerbeam – a two-year-old gelding who is produced by the Richmonds and winner at seven major shows, including youngstock champion at Stokesley.

The Richmond family have been showing and producing winners and champions at major shows for over 50 years and a delighted Peter said; “We’ve had a great year and we are really looking forward to next year with so many good horses.

“Our ridden horses also include Lambwath Wordsworth – a Yorkshire-bred bay gelding in his novice year.

Askham Bryan College has come to the rescue of the Badsworth & Bramham Moor Hunt, who will be holding their 2015 point-to-point on the college’s land on Sunday, March 29.

The hunt, which has previously used the course at Whitcliffe Grange, Ripon, had to look for an alternative after the Zetland Estate decided to bring the land back into farming use.
