Robinson commits himself to Scotland

Andy Robinson has reiterated his commitment to fulfilling his contract as head coach of Scotland following reports linking him with a return to Bath.

After overseeing a run of five wins in six Tests, Robinson has been linked with a return to The Rec with Bath, a team for which he made 249 appearances in 13 seasons and led to the Heineken Cup as coach in 1998.

The speculation has strengthened since multi-millionaire Bruce Craig, who attended Loughborough University with Robinson, took ownership of the West Country club. But Robinson is under contract with the Scottish Rugby Union until after the 2012 RBS 6 Nations Championship.

He said: "There's obviously been some speculation around myself, but I've got a contract to 2012.

"There's a long time until that contract's up. People have things to write and they're prepared to write it. If there's an announcement to be made it will be made. Currently there's nothing to say."

Wales international Robin Sowden-Taylor has announced his retirement from rugby.

The 28-year-old flanker joined Newport Gwent Dragons last year from Cardiff Blues, and won eight Test caps.
