Rotherham United V Port Vale: Arthur eager for chance to impress

Arthur joined the Millers on a two-month deal two weeks ago but has been denied the opportunity to play so far by back-to-back postponements.

The Millers, who have played only once in the last five weeks due to the weather, were allowed to sign the former Queens Park Rangers winger, 20, outside of the Football League transfer window because he had been a free agent since the end of last season.

Weather permitting, Arthur is likely to be on the bench for today's home game against Port Vale at the Don Valley Stadium.

The Valiants, who are second in the League Two table, were rocked on Thursday by the departure of manager Micky Adams to Sheffield United after 18 months at the helm.

Assistant-manager Geoff Horsfield and goalkeeping coach Mark Grew are in caretaker-charge and will be looking to push their claims for the job on a permanent basis.
