Round-Up: Bridlington blow away Scarborough

Yorkshire One: After being held to a 12-12 at half-time, Bridlington maintained maximum points with a runaway 45-12 home victory in their derby with Scarborough.

Scarborough had a slight wind benefit in the first half and restricted their hosts to tries by centre Gareth Roberts and stand-off Jamie Muru. Prop Jason Loude and No 8 Paul Watson crossed for the visitors.

But it was one-way traffic after the turnround as Roberts ran in his second try, South African full-back Siswe Zondo added two more and a seven-try total was completed by winger Regan Stirk and centre Kieran Lawry. It was Bridlington’s third consecutive five-pointer.
