Batley 72 Gateshead 0: Hemingway leads Batley to victory

Batley Bulldogs scrum-half Tom Hemingway scored two scintillating tries and kicked 12 goals as Batley ran riot against lacklustre Gateshead to race into the next round of the cup.

Winger Johnny Campbell opened the floodgates, with Hemingway and crowd favourite Gareth Moore – making his first appearance for nearly six months – in top form.

Straight from the kick off after the first try George Flanagan made a tremendous break and Hemingway was on hand to go over for his first touchdown.
