Dewsbury Rams 37 Halifax 30: Rams remain cool in heat to sink Halifax

Dewsbury Rams won a pulsating derby to move three points clear of the Cooperative Championship relegation zone.

The sides were locked at 30-30 with just four minutes remaining after scoring five tries and five goals apiece.

But in energy-sapping heat, the Rams finished strongest and after 76 minutes moved the ball out wide for Bryn Powell to race down the touchline and cut in to score behind the posts.
