Siddal coach Lee Greenwood said: "To be honest, it's not really a shock result because everyone around Halifax was expecting us to win.

"Doncaster have been through a bad time and there was a lot of pressure on us because all our fans were expecting a victory."

But even the most hardened Siddal supporter could not have anticipated the margin of the win.

Siddal's defence was the key to keeping Doncaster quiet and the home team fiished the match looking completely demoralised at their failure to make headway.

Impressive full-back Brad Attwood scored a 37th-minute try to make it 10-0 at the intervcal and further scores from Gareth Blackburn, Atwood and Caley sealed the win over a ramshackle Doncaster outfit.
