Environment campaign announces two more walk-and-talk days

The Campaign for the Farmed Environment, an NFU-led effort to avert more set-aside legislation, has two more walk-and-talks coming up on beacon farms for the scheme.

The first is on Tuesday, from 4pm, at Spellow Grange, Staveley, near Boroughbridge, HG5 9LL, where Richard Tesseyman has used soil sampling and yield mapping to identify the best areas to put forward for ELS.

The second starts 6pm on July 1 at Mount Farm, Abbot Lane, Woolley, WF4 2JJ, where Phillip Rowbottom has incorporated voluntary environmental management into a farm redevelopment which includes a 6000-tonne grain store and a golf course – where the event will finish for refreshments.
