At 18, Joe Whitham's dreams are coming true.
Joe, from Gargrave, has been taken on as an apprentice gamekeeper on the Bolton Abbey Estate, after completing a diploma in land management at Craven College – a course financed by the Learning & Skills Council in response to a report by the land business training quango, Lantra, warning of a looming shortage of rural skills.
