The explosive prop/second-row, 34, made 114 appearances for Castleford, helping them win the 2017 League Leaders’ Shield and reach the Grand Final.

A powerful, robust ball-carrier, Moors was not offered a new deal at Wheldon Road but was keen to extend his stay in the UK having initially moved over from Melbourne Storm in 2015.

“Junior is a significant signing for the club,” said head coach James Webster, who has already brought in Salford Red Devils centre Kris Welham, Wakefield Trinity prop Craig Kopczak and NRL stand-off Nu Brown for the campaign that starts in March.

“He brings a vast degree of experience from stints within the NRL and Super League.

“His ability to mix his game up between power and skill adds another dimension to our already strong pack.”

Moors also played for Penrith Panthers and Wests Tigers before coming to make his mark on Super League.

He has suffered some serious injuries in the last two seasons but returned to action in September and proved his fitness in five games for Castleford before the end of the campaign.

Featherstone football manager Steve Gill said: “I’m really pleased to get a player of Junior’s quality to the club.

“We have a bit of work to do with his visa, but I don’t foresee a problem.

“The big man will certainly give us some punch up front and it’s something both myself and James Webster had discussed going into this campaign.

“I would also like to say thanks to our CEO Davide Longo, as well as the Board of Directors for their support in this deal.”
