Fodder's food for thought

EVERY year Britain throws away enough food to fill Wembley Stadium eight times over, an amount worth more than £8bn.

In a bid to combat this tally, Yorkshire's local food super-market Fodder has pledged to pass on all of its food waste to a local homeless charity.

Harrogate-based Fodder is to give all of its leftover and edible food to the Harrogate Homeless Project.

Liz Hancock, manager of the Harrogate Homeless Project, said she was extremely grateful that Fodder's bosses had signed up to support them.
