Hadley commits future to Hull FC

IMPROVING Hull FC second-row Dean Hadley has extended his stay with his hometown club until the end of 2016.

Since making his first-team debut last year, he has made significant progress under head coach Lee Radford this season making a dozen appearances so far.

Hadley, 22, scored his first try for the club at Hull KR over Easter and has crossed twice more this term.

However, it is his industry and enthusiasm that are core traits and Radford said: “What Dean brings to training and what he has brought this year on the field has been immense.

“He has taken huge strides in his development which is why we were keen to offer him this extension.

“When we offered him his first contract at the start of last season, we were taking a bit of a punt on him, but I believe he has proved to all of us that we were right in making that decision.

“His energy spreads through the whole squad, which is made even more impressive given the fact he doesn’t say much off the field.”

On the former Skirlaugh ARLFC junior, Radford added: “As one of the many local kids that we believe will have a big future in the game, I’m extremely pleased to have been able to keep Dean at the club for an extended period.”
