Hull FC 10 Warrington Wolves 29: Injured Long limps out as Hull suffer Wolves loss

Hull FC are waiting to learn the extent of an injury to Sean Long after their star scrum-half limped out of yesterday's loss to Warrington.

The former St Helens ace left the field midway through the first half and his loss was keenly felt as the Wolves ground down their

hosts to win at the KC Stadium.

Hull were already missing five players from Friday's draining defeat of derby rivals Hull KR and they now face an anxious week before Sunday's trip to Leeds

Rhinos.

Coach Richard Agar said: "He went over on his ankle. It is too early to say at this stage but it was too uncomfortable for him.

"We will get him checked up (last night)."

Richard Horne, Danny Tickle, Craig Fitzgibbon, Tom Briscoe and Epalahame Lauaki were the players to drop out but Agar is hopeful all could return for the first of two back-to-back games against Rhinos.

Agar said: "We have had some walking wounded this week but I think we are lucky in that, if it had been a seven-day turnaround, most would have played."

10-10 following tries from Craig Hall and Willie Manu for the home side.

Agar added: "We had a number of casualties from a very tough game on Friday but I thought we backed it up really well. The scoreline probably doesn't do our efforts justice.

"If our effort and commitment is at that level every week,

we won't go far wrong," added Agar.

It was not until the final 10 minutes that Warrington made certain of victory but they did not look in danger of losing after Richie Myler touched down early in the second half.

Michael Monaghan added another before Chris Hicks followed up his two first-half tries to complete a hat-trick.

Lee Briers also caught the eye on his return to action from an ankle injury, scoring nine points and creating much of the Wolves' attacking play.
