Hull KR 16 Huddersfield Giants 38 - Brough inspires Giants

THE enigmatic Danny Brough played a crucial role as Huddersfield Giants overcame a major delay due to floodlight failure and a stubborn Hull KR to rise up to joint-top.

The ex-Hull FC scrum-half scored two tries and kicked five goals for the West Yorkshire club who have now lost just once in nine Super League meetings with the struggling Robins,

The start of the second half was held up for 20 minutes after one of the Craven Park floodlights went out and there were fears the game could be abandoned as a first attempt to reset them failed.

However, after the whole ground was shrouded in darkness a second time during the break, in a bid to fire it up once more, it did return and it was Huddersfield who eventually lit up an error-strewn affair.

Hull KR’s worst start to a Super League campaign continues - they have won just once since the opening day - and they were left to bemoan some poor handling and the absence of key playmaker Michael Dobson.
