Injury forces Giants to cope without Hodgson

Super League Man of Steel Brett Hodgson is facing a month on the sidelines after damaging left ankle ligaments in Huddersfield's 14-10 home defeat by Warrington on Sunday.

The news is a blow to the Giants, who rely heavily on their freescoring full-back and captain, who played on for about 25 minutes with the injury before realising the serious nature of it.

The popular Australian, who recently celebrated his 32nd birthday, scored 88 goals and 220 points on a fairytale debut season in Super League to help Huddersfield to a third-place finish in the table.
