Jungle fever as Cas play the name game again

The West Yorkshire club did away with tradition when they renamed their ageing ground The Jungle following a sponsorship deal with an internet company before changing it to the Wish Communications Stadium for 2013.

Now the club have announced a new deal with long-term sponsors Mend-A-Hose Hydraulics Ltd for next year.

Tigers commercial director Mark Grattan said: “As part of our search for a new stadium naming rights sponsor, we were looking for somebody who shared our desire to reinstate the name ‘The Jungle’, a hugely popular name amongst our fans, and we are absolutely delighted that Mend-A-Hose wanted the same.”

Castleford have plans on the table to build a new stadium at nearby Glasshoughton but have so far been unable to secure funding.
