The visitors took the lead via a Chris Buttery try and a conversion from Gareth Moore, before Keighley replied with a Danny Jones penalty and Tom Burton try.

Both teams then traded tries, Mark Barlow for Batley and Jones for Keighley, who also tagged on the extras.

Batley took a 71st-minute lead with a Sean Hesketh try to which Moore converted before sealing victory when Danny Maun slid on to a kick from man-of-the-match Paul Handforth, who then converted to wrap up the game.

On the final hooter, and in torrential rain, fighting broke out and the referee placed the incident on report.
