Knights start with victory over Skolars

York City Knights opened up their Kingstone Press League 1 campaign with a home win over London Skolars.

The Knights raced into a 10-0 half-time lead, as tries from Kristian Brining, James Morland (2), Brett Turner and Brad Hey (2) secured victory and York’s first two points of the season.

Danny Nicklas kicked two goals to wrap up the game for the Knights.

London replied with tries from Ejom Dollapi and Alex Anthony, Charlie Lawrence tagging on two conversions.
