The change has been made following the return of three positive Covid-19 tests in the Castleford camp, with a further six players being stood down as part of track and trace protocols.

Tigers coach Daryl Powell had said earlier today that his club was facing an "impossible task" to get the game on as they were down to 14 fit players.

He was hoping to see three players pass fitness tests in the morning but the game has now been postponed.

Hull were not due to play this week – but as with all Super League clubs in that position, they had been asked to remain on stand-by to react in a situation such as this.

The fixture between Hull and Leeds Rhinos – initially scheduled for Round 18 – will be classed as a home game for the Airlie Birds.

The Leeds v Castleford fixture will now move to Round 18 with details announced at a later date.

Amended Round 15 Fixtures – Thursday 8 October

Hull FC v Leeds Rhinos - 7:45pm (on Sky Sports)
