Garbutt was sent-off for punching Queensland forward James Tamou late in Rhinos’ 38-4 defeat.

The RFL match review panel charged him with Grade C punching after studying footage of the incident.

He faced a suspension of up to three games, but submitted an early guilty plea which resulted in a two-match ban.

The front-rower will miss Saturday’s game at Catalans Dragons and the following Friday’s visit of Huddersfield Giants.

Tamou was sin-binned for lashing out at Rhinos’ Keith Galloway before Garbutt knocked him off his feet.

The match review panel decided not to charge the Cowboys man. Their ruling stated: “Strikes with hand. Player lashes out towards opponent and makes light contact with open-hand.

“Conduct worthy of Concerning Act notification from NRL.”

There were no other charges from last weekend’s World Club Series or Super League games.
