Leeds v Wigan - Brian Noble: Offload game is vital if Rhinos are to prevail

I DON’T think the pressure is on any of Kevin Sinfield, Jamie Peacock or Kylie Leuluai in this Grand Final against Wigan.

Yes, the story has been about them all year but, for me, it is the likes of Zak Hardaker, Tom Briscoe, Kallum Watkins and Joel Moon who really have to have the games of their lives for Leeds Rhinos on Saturday night.

A lot of onus is on those outside backs to really show up, make some commitment to make the breaks Leeds will need and to get over the line to get this trophy won against a very determined Wigan team.

Leeds have got to go to the emotional well again for this last 80 minutes and a lot of their players did look a little bit tired in the semi against Saints.

Can they find that against Shaun Wane’s team who really don’t give a monkey’s that it’s JP’s 600th and odd game before retiring or Sinfield’s 500th and last match before he leaves?

Wigan just want to right the wrongs of what happened to them in last year’s Grand Final.

People said Huddersfield were flat in their semi against them but that was testimony to Wigan’s great defence; and Waney believes they have some improvement still for Old Trafford.

I hope it’s Leeds’s day and my heart says it will be but my head says Wigan. Leeds must get their offload game going as that will trouble their opponents around the middle but Waney knows that and I’m sure he’ll try to negate it some way or other.
