London 22 Halifax 18: Halifax left frustrated by resilient Broncos

The sides were locked 12-12 at the break, before a Mitch Cahalane try after 54 minutes, converted by Steve Tyrer, put Halifax 18-12 ahead.

Wes Naiqama converted from the sideline, but with visiting skipper Scott Murrell pulling the strings, Halifax were soon back in the game.

Murrell supplied the final pass, sending full-back James Saltonstall over on the left hand side and Steve Tyrer converting from touch to level at 6-6.

Ben Heaton broke straight from the kick-off, and when the centre scored from a Manning pass an couple of minutes later, Tyrer converting, it briefly looked like the visitors might run away with the game.

But the Broncos equalised on a rare excursion into opposition territory through Matt Garside, Naiqama again on target, and the interval arrived at 12-12.
