Nine-try Lions run out easy winners

In the Transport Cup final, Lambwath Lions ran out easy winners against GW Horners running in nine tries to three in a 54-12 victory.

Jon Stoakes led the way for the Lions rwith four tries, while Joel Freer, Mark Ashurst, Danny Chaytor grabbed one apiece. Calvin Foston got in on the act with two tries and eight goals, with Ben Douglas adding one goal.

Sam Ellerby, Matt Lockyer and Chris Stephenson went over the line for Horners.

In the Poulsom Rose Bowl semi-final, Paul King's Parkers side ran in at the break 36-14 to the good against Myton Warriors 'A', but were hit hard after the break as they finished up losing 42-44.

Myton's try-scorers were Ashley Jackson (3), Scott Brocklebank, John Hobman, Gareth Elliott, David Brookes and James Jennison, while Adam Humphrey struck six goals.

In the Bassett Cup semi final, Jimmy Walker and Rob Wilson's West Hull Lions got the better of Skirlaugh Bulls with a 40-24 victory.
