Rachel named the Salers chairman

Yorkshire breeder Rachel Hallos has taken over as chairman of the Salers Cattle Society of the UK.

Mrs Hallos farms with husband Stephen at Beeston Hall Farm, Ripponden, running about 60 pure Salers breeding cows and about 30 Saler-cross commercial cows, now being phased out in favour of pedigree Salers, which have their origins in uplands of the Auvergne region of France.
