Scrutton, Webster and Bibb cleared for Murrayfield

BARDFORD BULLS' in-form prop Nick Scruton was last night given the all-clear to continue his ever-present record.

The 25-year-old forward was cited by the Rugby Football League's match review panel for an alleged high tackle on Joel Clinton of Hull KR but was last night found not guilty of any offence.

It means Scruton is free to face Crusaders in the opening game of the Engage Super League's Magic Weekend in Edinburgh on Saturday.

The three other players who appeared before the panel were also cleared to play.

Sending-off was deemed sufficient punishment for Hull KR centre Jake Webster following a high tackle on Bradford's James Donaldson.

Wakefield prop Kyle Bibb was fined 200 for his illegal tackle on Hull back row Mike Burnett.

Harlequins captain Rob Purdham was found guilty of a "chicken-wing" tackle against Wigan and was fined 300.
